Carrie and Randy Travis duet from American Idol!!!! This isn’t one of my favorites from the Carnival Ride CD, but it is pretty cool to see her duet with one of her heroes…
I posted a video of Lady A doing “I run to you” in concert in my last post, but I just found the official video at CMT, so I am posting it as well. I love this song and video!!!!
Carrie is going to be on American Idol next week, as part of their Grand Ole Opry week. She will be performing a duet with Randy Travis. This is definitely some nice exposure for her music, hopefully it will help with her album sales and help get the single into the top 10… The duet will also be released as a digital single which should be great. Randy is such a hero of Carrie’s, i am sure that this will be a special night for Carrie!!!
Underwood will perform her current hit single “I Told You So” with fellow Opry member Randy Travis, who will also be participating as Idol’s “Opry” mentor for the show’s contestants. Carrie’s version of this 1988 #1 classic by Travis can be found on her Carnival Ride album, and fans will soon be hearing another version on the airwaves as a new studio recording pairing Carrie and Randy arrives at country radio next week. A digital single of that recording will be available for sale at online music providers everywhere to coincide with their American Idol performance.
So it has been a very busy last few days in Carrie Underwood news. Tonight she was at Disney World in Florida for the opening of the AI attraction. They had a little parade and Carrie even performed a couple of songs at a private show. Also there are unconfirmed reports that Carrie will be performing at the Oscars. It will be so great if this turns out to be true. Below are some pictures and video from tonight's event. The pictures of Carrie with Mickey are so cute lol…
